Sweeten Your Coffee with SweetLeaf Sweet Drops

December 15, 2015

If I make coffee at home, I have my routine pretty much nailed down. A breakfast blend k-cup in my Keurig, one Splenda and some skim milk. But what if you could make flavored coffees at home, without having to buy special k-cups?

Recently I was invited to try Peppermint Mocha Sweet Drops from SweetLeaf. These drops are a zero-carb, zero-calorie, liquid Stevia that adds flavor to pretty much anything – and in my case, I decided to use them in my coffee in place of my Splenda.

The drops remind me of vanilla extract in a bottle. After I made my first cup of coffee, I was hesitant at first, as I was worried the flavor would be overpowering, but after a few drops I noticed it could still use some more. Luckily there is the Stevia Conversion Calculator to find out how many SweetDrops I would need as my replacement. For one packet of Splenda I would require 8 drops.

The result? My breakfast blend coffee had a nice, peppermint aftertaste to it. If you like seasonal beverages, the drops may be for you – and they even have them in Pumpkin Spice.

But beyond coffee, you can do so much more. You can use liquid Stevia in place of cups of sugar when baking, by adding to fudge, cupcakes, and cookies, to cheesecakes, muffins, and mousse – perfect if you are making any holiday goodies!

Drops can be purchased at Shopsweetleaf.com or you can buy online at Amazon.  Prices start at $15.44 on SweetLeaf’s website.
